The Okavango Delta

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango Delta is one of the most remarkable ecosystems on Earth. Each year seasonal floodwaters travel more than 1,000 kilometres from the Angolan highlands to create a vast inland delta deep within the Kalahari Desert. The result is a mosaic of lagoons, islands and floodplains supporting an extraordinary diversity of wildlife.

Game viewing here is exceptional year-round, with lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and wild dogs regularly sighted alongside a rich diversity of birdlife.

Camp One: Wilderness Chitabe

Your safari begins at Wilderness Chitabe, one of Botswana’s most respected safari camps, located in a wildlife-rich area of the Okavango Delta where several habitats converge.

Eight elevated Meru-style safari tents are connected by wooden walkways leading to the main lodge area. The camp offers exceptional guiding with both day and night drives, as well as guided walks that reveal the intricate ecosystems of the Delta.

Chitabe is particularly well known for its predator sightings and thriving populations of African wild dogs.

Camp Two: Wilderness Vumbura Plains

From Chitabe you continue deeper into the Okavango Delta to Wilderness Vumbura Plains, an elegant contemporary safari camp designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings.

Fourteen luxurious suites feature private plunge pools, indoor and outdoor showers, and expansive views across the Delta floodplains. Game drives explore a variety of habitats while seasonal water activities provide a different perspective on this extraordinary ecosystem.

Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

The final stage of your journey takes you to the remote Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana, bordering Chobe National Park. This region is renowned for its dramatic wildlife concentrations, particularly during the dry season when animals gather along the Linyanti River system.

Large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe and antelope move through the reserve while predators including lion, leopard and cheetah are frequently sighted. Several packs of African wild dog are also found in the area.

Night drives provide the opportunity to discover nocturnal species such as civets, genets and honey badgers.

Camp Three: Wilderness DumaTau

Your final safari camp is Wilderness DumaTau, located on the edge of the spectacular Osprey Lagoon. The camp is famous for its elephant encounters, with large herds regularly visiting the lagoon.

Spacious luxury tented suites offer uninterrupted views over the water and surrounding wilderness, each featuring a private plunge pool and expansive lounge area.
