During the migration months, the region becomes even more spectacular, as huge herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the ecosystem, followed by lion, cheetah and hyena.
Camp Two: Wilderness Mara
Located in the Mara Triangle, Wilderness Mara offers a highly exclusive safari experience in one of the reserve’s most scenic and well-managed areas.
With relatively low visitor density, strong conservation management and access to key Mara River crossing areas, the camp is exceptionally well positioned for both classic wildlife viewing and migration season drama.

Gorilla trekking is the principal highlight, but the area also offers beautiful volcanic scenery, forest walks, golden monkey tracking and a powerful conservation story that gives the destination exceptional depth.
Camp Four: Wilderness Bisate
Wilderness Bisate is one of Rwanda’s most iconic luxury lodges, positioned in a dramatic natural amphitheatre with magnificent views towards the volcanic peaks of Bisoke and Karisimbi.
The forest villas combine striking architecture, comfort and privacy with a strong conservation ethos, making Bisate one of the most desirable bases for gorilla trekking in Africa.
