Lower Zambezi

The Lower Zambezi is one of Zambia’s most beautiful and undeveloped safari regions, defined by the Zambezi River, open floodplains, winterthorn forests and escarpment views beyond.

It is known for its varied safari activities, allowing guests to experience the bush not only by vehicle, but also by canoe, boat and on foot. Elephant, buffalo, hippo and a rich variety of birdlife are all part of the appeal here.

Camp One: Kutali Camp

Travel Logistics

This itinerary is designed to move smoothly between Zambia’s major safari regions using a combination of local flights and camp transfers.

All local flights are included. This means Lusaka to Lower Zambezi, Lower Zambezi to South Luangwa, South Luangwa to Lusaka, Lusaka to Kafue, and Kafue to Lusaka.

On arrival into each safari region, you are met and transferred onward to camp. In the Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa this is typically by road from the relevant airstrip, while Musekese Camp includes a short road and boat transfer from the airstrip.

This flight-based routing keeps travel efficient while allowing you to experience three very different regions in one seamless Zambia safari.
